2-day weekly holiday at educational instt to save electrify: Dipu Moni

The government is mulling introducing two-day weekly holidays in educational institutions aiming to save electricity, said education minister Dipu Moni.

Responding to a question of the reporters, Dipu Moni came up with this remark during a programme in the capital on Friday.

The authorities are thinking of whether or not two-day weekly holidays can be introduced in educational institutions aiming to save electricity, she said.

Earlier, an announcement was made saying that the educational institutions will avail a two-day weekly holiday from next year in the new academic curriculum.

The universities in the country enjoy two-day off, however, the secondary and higher secondary educational institutions avail one-day leave.
