Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that nothing has been removed or added in the textbooks on religion but a large part of the BNP and Jamaat-Shibir are spreading untrue things through social media platforms from abroad, reports BSS.
The minister was talking to journalists after attending a cheque-distribution ceremony at the Chandpur Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium on Saturday.
She distributed cheques for Taka 56 lakh from the Prime Minister's rehabilitation assistance fund to 101 people affected by river erosion in the financial year 2021-22.
"Those who want to mislead the religious people in this country misusing religious sentiments and destabilize the country ahead of the elections are inciting the people with wrong information," she said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Imtiaz Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Sudipta Roy, Chairman of Chandpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Nurul Islam Nazim Dewan, Organizing Secretaries of District Awami League Tafazzal Hossain Patwari and Advocate Mojibur Rahman Bhuiyan, Sadar Upazila Parishad Nirbahi Officer Fahmida Haque and Vice Chairmen Ayub Ali Bepari and Abida Sultana were present, among others, on the occasion.
