The British Council and 10 Minute School have announced a new strategic partnership to strengthen English language assessment opportunities for learners across Bangladesh. The signing ceremony took place on  Tuesday , marking a significant step forward in making quality English language testing more accessible to students nationwide.

Through this collaboration, 10 Minute School will offer its learners the opportunity to take the Primary English Test and Secondary English Test — internationally recognised assessments designed and administered by the British Council. These tests assess real-life English language skills, enabling students to build confidence, track their progress, and prepare for academic and professional success.

The Primary English Test is designed for learners aged 9 to 12, focusing on foundational skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The Secondary English Test assesses more advanced abilities designed for 13 to 17-year-olds, enabling secondary-level students to demonstrate readiness for higher education or career opportunities.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting high-quality, inclusive, and reliable English language assessment in Bangladesh.

Maxim Raimann, Exams Director, British Council Bangladesh, remarked, ‘This partnership is a pivotal moment in our efforts to broaden access to high-quality English language assessment across Bangladesh. By working with 10 Minute School, we are confident that we will reach a wider range of learners in both urban and rural communities. Our internationally recognised tests are designed to help students develop practical language skills, equipping them to pursue academic and professional success with confidence.’

The signing ceremony, attended by senior representatives from both organisations, along with educators and media, celebrated a partnership that bridges digital innovation and global standards in language assessment.

From the British Council, Maxim Raimann, Country Exams Director, Bangladesh; Tahnee Yeasmin, Head of Business Development; Tabassum Chowdhury, Account Manager for English & Exams; and Rounaq Jahan Nabila, Technical Support Officer, were present at the signing ceremony.

From 10 Min School, Ayman Sadiq, CEO, Shams Asif Chowdhury, Programme & Partnership Lead, Mohammad Risan, Programme Manager, and Avipsu Das Gupta, Business & Operations Lead, were present during the signing ceremony.

From 10 Min School, Shams Asif Chowdhury, Programme & Partnership Lead, said, ‍‍`Our collaboration with the British Council reflects our shared vision of making learning outcomes more transparent and meaningful. By introducing Secondary English Test and Primary English Test, we are helping students showcase their true potential and giving parents a clearer picture of their child’s progress.‍‍`
