The results of the entrance exam for the country's government and private medical colleges' first-year MBBS programs for the academic year 2023–24 were made public on Sunday.
At a ceremony held in the afternoon at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the capital's Mohakhali, Health Minister Zahid Maleque made the official announcement of the result.
A total of 1,35,800 candidates took part in the test this year. There is a 35.34% pass rate.
A total of 4,350 students have been selected for the government medical college through 1 hour 100 marks MCQ exam and 200 marks from the marks obtained in SSC and HSC exams in 57 venues of 18 government medical colleges and one dental college on Friday from 10am to 11am.
First on the merit list was Rafsan Zaman, who took part in the exam from Chittagong Medical College centre. In the written test, he achieved a maximum score of 94.25.
Candidates can then check their results in three ways: the DGHS website, the Directorate General of Medical Education website and also through SMS.
