Students from North-South and East-West University staged a protest on different places of Pragati Sarani in the capital on Tuesday, condemning the recent attacks on students advocating for quota abolishment across various universities.
Reports suggest that students from Independent University and other institutions also joined the movement.
Assistant Commissioner Rajan Kumar Saha of Dhaka Metropolitan Police`s Badda Zone under Gulshan Division confirmed that the students blocked one side of Pragati Sarani, causing disruption to traffic.
Eyewitnesses noted that students began gathering near their campuses around 10 am and subsequently blocking the the roads.
Meanwhile, reports of creating blockade by BracU and UIU students also appeared.
