Agitating students have lifted their road blockade following the assurance of the owners as the formers demand half bus fare.
The students left the road around 2:30pm Tuesday.
Earlier on the day, students of Banani Bidyaniketon blocked the road in front of Banani post office around 12pm demanding a half pass at buses.
The blockade led to long traffic gridlock in the area.
Students were chanting slogans with placards writing ‘we want half passes’, ‘no dillydally on half fare’.
Teachers of the school along with members of the law enforcing agencies urged the student to lift the blockade. However, the protesters vowed to continue the blockade until their demands are met.
