Students should take the responsibility of building a smart Bangladesh by 2041 in line with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's dream of digital Bangladesh.
Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, State Minister for Shipping and Awami League's Organizing Secretary came up with this remark while addressing as chief guest at the 21st founding anniversary celebration and cultural program of South Point School and College at Baridhara in the capital on Monday.
A press release sent to the media signed by Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Shipping Jahangir Alam Khan.
The minister also expressed optimism that the students of South Point School and College will be at the forefront in building a smart Bangladesh.
On the occasion, Khalid said, "Education-friendly current government under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is establishing universities, engineering universities, medical universities across the country. Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, students are getting to know about digital system as electricity reaches every house.”
He also said that Bangladesh has become Digital Bangladesh under the leadership of the premier.
South Point School and College founder and chairman Engineer MA Rashid, the founder principal of the institution Hamida Ali and incumbent principal Matiur Rahman on behalf of the organizing committee addressed among others.
Prizes were distributed among the students of Malibagh, Banani, Baridhara, Mirpur, Uttara and Shyampur branches of South Point School and College on the occasion. The State Minister distributed awards among the students.
