372 people, including Bangladeshis were detained on Tunisian coast of Mediterranean Sea

The country‍‍`s coast guard has detained 372 migrants from the Tunisian coast of the Mediterranean Sea before going to Europe illegally. Apart from Bangladeshis, there are citizens of various countries of Syria and Africa among these immigration aspirants, according to the government of Tunisia. It is not known how many Bangladeshis have been detained.

According to the French media Africa News, they were arrested yesterday in a raid in the coastal city of Sfax local time. The Tunisian Coast Guard said they were detained while preparing to cross the sea in a small boat.

According to the Tunisian Coast Guard, 13,000 migrants have been stopped before crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Europe upto March this year. Italy and Malta, when asked to cooperate, said their operations were being hampered by the fact that several of their rescue and patrol vessels were under repair.

The Tunisian coastguard also said the migrants were released after being brought ashore from the Mediterranean Sea. Many of them try to go to Europe again in the same way.

One of the ways to get to Italy or Europe illegally is to cross the Mediterranean Sea. One of the routes or convenient places to enter Italy is the African countries of Libya and Tunisia. Thousands of poverty-stricken migrants from Africa and the Middle East are crossing the Mediterranean through Libya.

Citizens of various countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including Bangladesh, India, and Indonesia, reach Libya in various ways with the intention of building a better life and changing the wheel of destiny. Then many people reach Italy by crossing the Mediterranean Sea by boat from the Juara coast of the country. Many people died in boat capsizing while risking their lives to cross the Mediterranean Sea.
