Despite the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, unrest continues to escalate in Nepal.
Hundreds of protesters entered the Parliament building in the capital, Kathmandu, on Tuesday, setting fire to the main chamber and filling the structure with thick black smoke.
The situation intensified from early morning, with online videos showing large crowds inside the building as smoke poured out.
According to Nepali media reports, thousands of people took to the streets following the Prime Minister’s resignation, waving national flags and participating in celebratory motorcades.
Some protesters splashed colored powder in the streets and carried plants from nearby gardens into the building, while others removed artworks from inside.
Protesters were also seen dancing and chanting slogans around the Parliament entrance, highlighting the chaotic and volatile situation in the nation’s capital.
