Law enforcement agencies have arrested 1,521 individuals, including 343 people in the past 24 hours, as part of the ongoing "Operation Devil Hunt."
The operation is part of the government`s efforts to restore law and order and target criminals who are causing unrest.
According to the Police Headquarters, the arrests include suspects from various cases and outstanding warrants.
The operation, launched during the night on Saturday, has already seen substantial progress in apprehending individuals linked to criminal activities.
Additionally, the authorities have seized a wide range of illegal weapons and materials.
Police sources report that during the operation, they have recovered items such as one foreign pistol, two magazines, 11 rounds of ammunition, six shotgun cartridges, three knives, three swords, an axe, 10 cocktails, eight sticks, four rods, and four machetes.
These weapons are believed to be used by criminals involved in violence and illegal activities.
The decision to carry out this nationwide operation was made after a coordination meeting between law enforcement agencies at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The interim government approved the operation as a measure to crack down on criminals and restore stability to the country.
This move reflects the government`s determination to tackle rising crime and maintain peace and safety for the public.
The continued efforts are seen as a major step in the fight against organized crime and violence across the nation.
