At least nine, including eight Rohingyas and one Bangladeshi died in a landslide and a wall collapse, respectively, in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday morning.
Confirming the matter, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Tanvir Hossain said the landslide occurred at 6am in camp No 10 in Ukhiya, while the wall collapse took place in the same upazila`s Palongkhali.
As of 11am, the rescue and recovery operations were still ongoing.
