In a case involving a bounced check, a Dhaka court on Monday issued arrest warrants for Mohammad Rassel, the former CEO of the controversial e-commerce platform Evaly, and his co-founder wife Shamima Nasrin.
The couple was served with a summons and received it on time, but they did not appear before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ali Haider, according to prosecution attorney Sadikur Rahman Tamal.
The magistrate asked the officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station to submit a report by February 27 on execution of the arrest warrant issued against them.
