BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas has been fixed for bail hearing today in nine cases.
A hearing in this regard will be held at the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate`s Court of Dhaka on Thursday (February 1).
This plea has been made in five cases including the murder of a police constable in Paltan police station and four cases in Ramana police station including the attack on the residence of the Chief Justice.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Mirza Abbas`s lawyer, requested bail on his client`s behalf and presented arrest in nine cases. The court then scheduled the hearing for Thursday in the presence of Mirza Abbas.
On October 31, police detained Mirza Abbas from Shahid Bagh in Dhaka in connection with a sabotage case. Since then, he has been in prison.
