Standing committee member of BNP from black flag march in Uttara of the capital Dr. Abdul Moin Khan was arrested. He was released again in the afternoon. It is said that Sultana Ahmed, general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal, was also arrested at this time.
They were arrested on Tuesday afternoon from the road adjacent to the graveyard of Uttara Sector 11. Then Moin Khan was released from Uttara West police station around 3 pm.
Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP`s media wing, said that Moin Khan is being arrested and taken to Uttara West police station. However, the police denied arresting Moin Khan.
Besides, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan`s PS Bahauddin Bhuiyan Milton and a BNP worker named Moniruzzaman were arrested and taken to the Uttara West police station.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police North Division Shah Jahan denied the news of Moin Khan`s arrest.
BNP is conducting `black flag` processions in Thana-Upazilas and Municipalities under districts and cities across the country including Dhaka.
