428 mistakes have been corrected in class VI and VII text books. Out of this, 202 errors were corrected in class VI and 226 in class VII.
The amendment was published on the website of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) yesterday.
It can be seen, the most 71 revisions have been made in History and Social Science books of class VI and only four revisions in Bengali books.
Apart from this, 36 mistakes have been corrected in health related books, 35 in English, 15 in life and livelihood, 7 in science, 5 in mathematics, 4 in Bengali, 5 in art and culture, 7 in Islamic education and 16 in Hindu religion education books.
Similarly, 65 in history and social science books of class 7, 28 in life and livelihood, 24 in health protection, 21 in Bengali, 11 in English, 22 in mathematics, 4 in science, 5 in digital technology, 18 in art and culture, 9 in Islamic education, 12 in Hinduism and 7 amendments in Christianity education have been made.
NCTB Chairman Professor Md. Farhadul Islam told the media, "We are working on revising the textbook in two stages. Those matters which require correction have been corrected. Detailed revisions are underway for the 2024 academic year."
