Ambassadors of 14 OIC member countries held an emergency meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday evening.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister said, "Bangladesh is always with Palestinians." The meeting discussed the ongoing attacks by the occupying Israeli forces in Palestine and Gaza and the position and actions of Bangladesh and other OIC countries in the wake of this.
Ambassadors of Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Qatar, Libya, Turkey, Iran, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Oman, Indonesia and Egypt participated in the meeting with the Prime Minister.
Earlier, on Wednesday evening, the Prime Minister ordered Health Minister Zahid Maleque to urgently send medical supplies including medicines to the Palestinian hospitals.
