Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the BNP-Jamaat coalition government did not want the people of Bangladesh to be educated.
She said this today at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital at the principal`s meeting and scholarship awarding ceremony.
PM Sheikh Hasina said as they did not want people of Bangladesh to educated therefore, the Awami League government`s projects in the education sector were stopped by the BNP-Jamaat coalition government.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over financial grant checks under the National University to the talented students with special needs and are underprivileged. Principals of 2257 colleges of the country were present in the event.
National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Moshiur Rahman presided over the program among others. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, Education Deputy Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury were present there.
