Two more people have died while undergoing treatment at the National Burn Institute following a cylinder explosion at a warehouse in Chandanaiash, Chittagong, bringing the total death toll to five. The deceased have been identified as Md. Harun (20) and Md. Salauddin (33).
Currently, five others remain hospitalized for treatment.
Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident doctor at the Burn Institute, said Harun had burns covering approximately 50% of his body, while Salauddin suffered burns on 35% of his body.
Harun passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday (23 September), and Salauddin died at 9:20 p.m. on Monday. Their bodies have been kept at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) morgue.
Earlier, three people had died in the same incident.
