A man and his young son were tragically killed after being hit by a bus while on their way to attend Eid prayers in Shahjahanpur, Bogura.
The victims were identified as Chan Mia, 35, and his four-year-old son Abdullah, residents of Bamunia Mondolpara village in Shahjahanpur upazila.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, on the Dhaka–Bogura highway in the Noymail area of Shahjahanpur upazila.
According to police, the father and son were attempting to cross the highway by jumping over the central divider when a Dhaka-bound bus struck them. Both died on the spot due to the impact.
Authorities have recovered the bodies, and legal formalities are underway before handing them over to the family.
