After a 10-day visit in London for a health checkup and eye treatment, President M Abdul Hamid returned home on Monday morning.
President’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said, a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:40 am. He left Dhaka for London on August 31
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, acting dean of diplomatic corps and Turkish envoy in Dhaka Devrim Ozturk, British high commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson, chiefs of the three services, inspector general of police (IGP), public security division secretary, secretary (coordination and reform) of the cabinet division, secretary (maritime in foreign ministry), and civil and military high officials concerned received the President at the airport.
The president left Heathrow Airport of London for Dhaka at 6:40 pm (London time) yesterday.
Abdul Hamid has been suffering from Glaucoma since a long time now.
