A Dhaka court has set October 13 for submitting the investigation report in a case lodged against Bangladesh National Cricket Team's pacer Al-Amin Hossain over the allegations of domestic violence.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Afnan Sumi set the date afresh as the investigation officer of the case failed to submit the report on Wednesday.
Ishrat Jahan, wife of the national team pacer (pace-bowler), filed the complaint in Mirpur Model Thana on August 1 alleging that Al-Amin tortured and physically abused her for dowry.
Also, the victim was forcefully driven out of her house with her minor kids, the complaint said.
After primary investigation and verification police registered the complaint as a case of domestic violence the next day.
On September 6, Al-Amin was granted an eight-week anticipatory bail by the High Court.
The next day, the victim filed another case against the sportsperson seeking maintenance of her and children.
