Three Bangladeshi laborers tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident while en route to their workplace in Najd, Saudi Arabia.
The incident, which transpired on Thursday noon Bangladesh time, claimed the lives of Sabuj (38), Sabbir (21), and Rifat (20), all hailing from Chandpur.
Sabuj was behind the wheel when the accident occurred during their commute to construction duties. The news of their demise has cast a pall of grief over their families, particularly poignant as it comes just before Eid-ul-Azha.
Rifat, having ventured to Saudi Arabia three years ago for employment in construction, had recently expressed his wish to return home for Eid, a dream now shattered by fate. His neighbors and relatives mourn his untimely demise, emphasizing his role as the primary breadwinner for his family.
The sorrow is equally profound for Sabbir`s family, with his parents unable to articulate their anguish amidst their devastating loss. They appeal for governmental aid to repatriate their son`s remains.
Sabbir`s sister recalls his aspirations for the future, dreams now left unfulfilled. Their journey to Saudi Arabia was facilitated by Sabuj Choukidar, whose father lamented the loss of the trio, emphasizing their collective contributions to construction projects in the region.
The families` plea for assistance in bringing back the bodies of their loved ones underscores the gravity of their loss. While local authorities stand ready to extend support, the grieving families await guidance on the next steps in this harrowing ordeal.
