BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan thinks that the unveiling of a new political alliance named ‘Gonotontro Moncho’ is a success for the united movement.
Talking to TheReport, the BNP leader said, “We wholeheartedly welcome the new political coalition comprised of JSD, Nagorik Oikya, Workers Party of Bangladesh, Ganasamhati Andolon, Gana Adhikar Parishad and Rashtra Sanskar Andolon and Bhasani Onusari Parishad.”
“For years, we have been pressing the demands which the new coalition raised. No election can be held under this government. The government must step down. The parliament has to be dissolved. The election has to be held under nonpartisan government and the election commission has to be reshuffled---we found these demands in their speech.”
The senior BNP leader said, “We think, this is an outcome of united efforts for years. We think this is a physical development of the united movement for coming days.”
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president ASM Abdur Rob came up with the announcement of floating a new political alliance comprising seven political parties at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Monday.
