Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to a Mumbai hospital after fainting at his residence late Tuesday night. The actor, 61, was shifted from the emergency ward to a private room for observation, hospital sources and his close friend Lalit Bindal confirmed.
According to Bindal, Govinda felt dizzy and weak around midnight after taking his routine medication. Concerned, his friend rushed him to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital, where doctors admitted him for further monitoring.
Questions arose over why his wife, Sunita Ahuja, was not with him at the time. Bindal clarified that Sunita was attending a wedding out of town and returned to Mumbai only later in the night. Their daughter Tina, meanwhile, is away in Chandigarh for work and is expected to join her father soon.
Govinda is reportedly resting comfortably and responding well to treatment. Fans and colleagues have flooded social media with messages wishing the actor a speedy recovery.
The actor’s team said doctors are conducting tests to ensure he remains stable before deciding on his discharge.
This incident has once again drawn attention to Govinda’s health, but close sources say there is no immediate cause for alarm, and he is expected to recover fully.
