The Bangladesh national cricket team is scheduled to tour Pakistan next month for a five-match T20 series. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that the government has given in-principle approval for the tour.
Although the official clearance letter has not yet arrived, BCB officials said it is expected to be delivered soon.
“We’ve received the green signal from the government. While we haven’t received the formal letter yet, the decision is finalized. Once we receive the letter, we’ll begin discussions with the players,” a senior BCB official said while speaking to cricket news outlet Cricbuzz on Thursday (May 15).
Earlier, the BCB stated that final approval for the Pakistan tour would depend on government clearance followed by consultation with the players.
