Bangladesh to face Pakistan Shaheens in Champions Trophy preparation match

The countdown for the highly anticipated Champions Trophy has begun, with the tournament set to start on February 19.

 Ahead of this, the ICC has unveiled the schedule for the preparation matches, which will kick off tomorrow.

Among the teams playing preparation matches, Bangladesh will face Pakistan Shaheens on February 17. 

These preparation matches will be held between February 14 and February 17, with Bangladesh playing just one match. 

Pakistan Shaheens, also known as Pakistan’s ‘A’ team, will play a total of three preparation matches in four days, including one against Bangladesh. 

On February 17, Pakistan Shaheens will have two teams playing simultaneously on two different grounds.

The teams taking part in the Champions Trophy who will be playing preparation matches include Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa, and Bangladesh. 

However, the major teams like India, Australia, England, and Pakistan have opted not to play any prep games.

The squad for Pakistan Shaheens has been split into three different line-ups for the preparation matches. 

Mohammad Haris, who recently played for Durbar Rajshahi, will lead the squad against Bangladesh. The match will take place in Dubai on February 17.

Bangladesh‍‍`s team is scheduled to depart for the Champions Trophy at 1 AM tonight, ready to face the competition ahead.

Champions Trophy Preparation Match Schedule:

  • February 14: Pakistan Shaheens vs Afghanistan, Lahore
  • February 16: New Zealand vs Afghanistan, Karachi
  • February 17: Pakistan Shaheens vs South Africa, Karachi
  • February 17: Pakistan Shaheens vs Bangladesh, Dubai
    (*All matches are day-night games.)

  • Against South Africa:

  • Against Bangladesh:
