England booked their place in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway in a thrilling quarter-final. Jude Bellingham starred with both goals to inspire the Three Lions to victory.

Played in Miami, Norway struck first in the 36th minute through Andreas Schjelderup. England, however, responded just before half-time as Bellingham finished brilliantly from Anthony Gordon‍‍`s pass during first-half stoppage time to restore parity.

England‍‍`s equaliser was surrounded by controversy. Norway claimed that goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland‍‍`s goal kick had struck the stadium‍‍`s SkyCam cable before dropping back into play. England launched the move from the resulting possession and eventually found the equaliser. Despite the protests, the referee allowed the goal to stand.

Both sides created several scoring opportunities in the second half, but neither could find the breakthrough before the end of regulation time, sending the match into extra time.

Bellingham delivered the decisive moment in the 93rd minute of extra time. Morgan Rogers unleashed a powerful effort from around 30 yards, but Nyland failed to gather the shot cleanly, allowing the ball to spill into the six-yard box. Bellingham reacted quickest, tapping home from close range to complete his brace and secure England‍‍`s 2-1 victory.

The win sends the Three Lions into the World Cup semi-finals.
