The IPL mega auction for the 18th season wrapped up on Monday, November 25, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and unfortunately, no Bangladeshi players were bought this time around.

While 12 Bangladeshi cricketers were listed, only two were called up, but neither Mustafizur Rahman nor Rishad Hossain found any bidders.

This means that for the first time in years, Mustafiz will not be part of the IPL.

Mustafiz, who has been a regular player in the league, had a strong season last year, taking 14 wickets in 9 matches for Chennai Super Kings.

Many fans had hoped to see him continue with the team for a second season, but unfortunately, that wasn‍‍`t the case. His name was not picked up by any team in the auction, leaving fans disappointed.

This year, the franchises spent a massive ₹639.15 crore, buying 182 players, including 62 foreign and 120 Indian cricketers.

However, 395 players, including Mustafiz and New Zealand‍‍`s Daryl Mitchell, went unsold. Some big names were left out of the auction, and Mustafiz was one of them.

After the auction, Chennai Super Kings shared a message on their official Facebook page, acknowledging Mustafiz and other players.

They said, "Thank you for fighting with courage for us. Your energy will always be a part of our pride. Best of luck for your future battles. Always."

Mustafiz‍‍`s IPL journey has been quite a ride. He started with Sunrisers Hyderabad, then moved to Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Delhi Capitals. Most recently, he played for Chennai Super Kings.

However, ahead of the auction, Chennai released him, and no franchise showed interest in picking him up this time. Fans will be hoping for a comeback in future seasons.
