Two students allowed to take HSC exam in Satkhira jail

Two students arrested over the violence during the quota reform protests have been allowed to take the Higher Secondary Certificate exam while sitting in jail. 

They are Md. Fahim Parvez and Md. Zahid Hossain. They are currently in Satkhira District Jail. They were arrested in a police case based on the quota reform movement in government jobs.

The Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Jessore allowed Fahim and Zahid to take the exam in jail. On July 31, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Jessore Examination Controller Biswas Shaheen Ahmed signed the permission letter, saying that the management of Satkhira Government College has requested to provide answer sheets, question papers, attendance sheets and take the examination inside the prison.

In the same permit, it is said that all the expenses related to taking the exam in the jail shall be borne by the guardians of the two candidates.
