At least four people were injured, three of them critically, in a gas line explosion at Kazipara Manju Textile in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj on Thursday morning.
The injured have been identified as Md Kabir, 45, Saiful Islam, 32, Md Hannan, 52, and Saiful, 28. All four were rushed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka for treatment.
Doctors said one victim sustained minor burns covering 2 percent of his body, while the others suffered severe burn injuries. One has burns on 53 percent of his body, another 40 percent, and the third 34 percent, including damage to their respiratory tracts, leaving them in critical condition.
According to family members, two of the injured victims were employed as security guards.
