The DNA, post-mortem, and viscera reports in the case of eight-year-old Ramisa—who was raped and murdered in Pallabi, Dhaka—have been received by the investigating officer.

The investigating officer of Pallabi Police Station, Sub-Inspector Ahiduzzaman Bhuiyan Nipun, collected the DNA report from the forensic unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The post-mortem and viscera reports were also obtained from the relevant departments.

Officials involved in the investigation said the case is now in its final stage. With the reports in hand, preparations for filing the charge sheet are underway. They added that, if everything proceeds as expected, the charge sheet may be submitted to the court on Sunday.

According to the case details, the dismembered body of the child was recovered last Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. from a third-floor apartment in Pallabi. Following the incident, the main accused, Sohel Rana, fled the scene by breaking the window grill. His wife, Swapna Akter, was later arrested from the location. Sohel Rana was also arrested the same evening from Fatullah in Narayanganj.

The following Wednesday, Sohel Rana gave a confessional statement before the court.
