According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police, the cattle were being taken from Bishwanath in Sylhet to Chattogram in a pickup van on May 20.
Police said a group of miscreants stopped the vehicle in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria early the next morning and snatched the cattle.
Following the incident, a complaint was filed with Nabinagar Police Station.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Bangshal Police Station later conducted a raid at a meat shop on Aga Sadek Road in Dhaka and recovered the stolen cattle.
Officials said the recovered animals were handed back to their owner.
