Three more people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 458 new patients were admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh, according to the latest data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The deaths, recorded between 8:00am Saturday and 8:00am Sunday, pushed the country`s dengue death toll to 43 this year.
The DGHS said the latest fatalities were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation, Khulna Division and Barishal Division.
During the same period, 458 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the mosquito-borne disease.
Since the beginning of the year, 13,098 dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country.
Among them, 11,937 have recovered and returned home, while 1,118 patients remain under treatment at hospitals nationwide, according to the DGHS.
