The Bandarban district administration has suspended boat services on the Thanchi Sadar-Tindumukh waterway until July 30 due to adverse weather and safety concerns.
The decision was announced in an emergency notice issued on Saturday and signed by S.M. Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management).
According to the notice, the temporary suspension aims to protect tourists and local residents from possible accidents as poor weather conditions continue to affect the area.
Under the directive, all boat operations between Thanchi Sadar and Tindumukh, one of Bandarban`s most popular tourist routes, will remain suspended until Thursday, July 30.
The district administration has urged tourists and local residents to follow the restriction and take necessary precautions until weather conditions improve.
