Como 1907, the club from the northern Italian city of Como, has qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in its 119-year history. Located on the shores of Lake Como, the club has reached Europe’s biggest stage.

Since being taken over in 2019 by Indonesian tobacco tycoon brothers Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono, the club’s fortunes have steadily improved. At the time, Como were playing in Serie D. From there, they have climbed step by step and are now set to compete in Europe’s top club competition.

Their qualification was confirmed after a 4–1 victory over Cremonese, which secured a fourth-place finish in the league.

Following this achievement, there is also growing speculation about head coach Cesc Fàbregas’s future. The 39-year-old former Spanish midfielder has attracted interest from several major European clubs, but it is believed he is likely to remain at Como after guiding them to this historic Champions League qualification in his first senior managerial role.

Meanwhile, Napoli secured second place after a 1–0 win over a 10-man Udinese. Rasmus Højlund scored the only goal in the 24th minute, finishing a pass from Kevin De Bruyne—his 12th league goal of the season.

AC Milan needed a win to secure a Champions League spot but lost 2–1 to Cagliari. As a result, they finished fifth in the league and will play in the Europa League next season.
League champions Inter Milan, runners-up Napoli, and third-placed Roma have all secured their Champions League places. Juventus will compete in the Europa League after ending their season with a 2–2 draw against Torino.
