Bangladesh among countries countries now allowed to enter Malaysia

Entry restriction to Malaysia has been lifted for foreign nationals of Bangladesh and other countries by the country’s government.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Malaysian High Commission in Dhaka issued a notification in this regard.

According to the notice, the new decision will come into immediate effect.

Malaysian permanent residents, long term pass holders, business travellers and investors will have to obtain a prior entry approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia through MyTravelPass or MyEntry (https://www.imi.gov.my).

To enter, travellers must be fully vaccinated and must provide a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test result.

Moreover, all those entering must complete a mandatory quarantine, as per the decision of the health ministry of Malaysia.

Travelers will get pre-approved visa related information at dhaka@imi.gov.my and info@osc.visamalaysia.com.bd or they can contact the visa hotline at +88 017 9200 0766.

The government of Malaysia imposed a travel ban on citizens of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal on May 5 this year to contain the transmission of coronavirus.

To prevent the contamination of the delta variant of coronavirus which was first identified in India, the Malaysian government also issued a temporary ban on  flights to and from India.
