Bangladesh has recorded three deaths and 349 new cases of COVID-19 in a day, taking the overall tally of death to 29,291 and infections to 2,005,257.
According to the latest government data released on Sunday, as many as 5,720 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 6.38 percent.
Among the eight divisions, Dhaka logged the highest number of cases, with 226 infections.
Another 868 people recovered from the illness nationwide, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,942,410.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 96.87 percent and the mortality rate at 1.46 percent.
