A case has been filed in Kishoreganj involving former President Abdul Hamid, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajeeb Wazed (Joy), daughter Saima Wazed (Putul), and 124 others.

The lawsuit claims that these individuals were involved in an attack and gunfire during the anti-discrimination student protests.

On Wednesday, January 15, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station, Abdullah Al Mamun, confirmed the filing of the case.

The complaint was lodged by a young man named Tahamul Islam at the police station on January 14.

He added that the police would investigate the matter and take necessary legal action.

The complainant, 27-year-old Tahamul Islam, also known as Mazharul, is the son of Abu Taher Bhuiyan from North Latibabad in Kishoreganj Sadar.

Since the fall of the Awami League government, 11 cases have been filed at the Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station, with almost 50 cases registered across the district.

Nearly four thousand people have been named in these cases, with over 10,000 more unnamed individuals listed as suspects.

This is the first case where former President Abdul Hamid has been mentioned.

He is listed as the third defendant, while Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana are named as the first and second defendants.

The case details reveal that after the fall of Sheikh Hasina‍‍`s government, the defendants planned a nationwide massacre to suppress the student-led protests.

According to the lawsuit, the defendants wanted to prevent any movement in Kishoreganj, so they issued orders to certain individuals to take action.

These individuals, listed as defendants, allegedly supplied weapons and money to crush the protests.

On August 4 of last year, a group of attackers fired shots at a student protest in the Station Road area of Kishoreganj, injuring the complainant and others.

The attackers also threw grenades, cocktails, and bombs, causing widespread fear in the area.

Tahamul Islam, the complainant, explained that he is a member of the BNP and had been injured during the student protests.

After receiving medical treatment for an extended period, he has now filed the case after recovering.
