Parts of the country including the capital Dhaka have been experiencing light to moderate rain since late Thursday and early Friday triggered by cyclone Asani.
Besides, several districts in the central and northern regions were hit by nor’wester.
“Rangpur, Bogura, Pabna, Rajshahi experienced nor’wester Friday morning. Cumilla and Tangail are likely to witness storm,” meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said.
The sky may remain partially cloudy. The rain is likely to be accompanied by thunder strikes. Day’s temperature will remain almost unchanged, the met office forecast in a weather bulletin issued at 7 am Friday for the next 6 hours.
Saidpur experienced the highest amount of rainfall 98 millimeters in the last 24 hours. Besides, Teknaf recorded 46 mm, Tertulia 47 mm and capital Dhaka 14 mm during the same period.
