Home Minister, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, "Efforts are being made to bring back the fugitive murderers of Bangabandhu to the country. Some are still absconding. Wherever the killers are in the world we are trying to bring them back and execute the death sentence.
He said this after paying tribute at Rajarbagh Police Lines Martyrs Memorial in the capital on Sunday (March, 26) morning.
The Home Minister said, we observe every day of March as an important day. On that night of March 25, thousands of Bengalis were killed in just 6 hours. Bangabandhu's announcement came on that night, "Bangladesh is independent from today". Since then we celebrate as Independence Day.
Asaduzzaman Khan said that attempts are being made to recognize March, 25 as 'Genocide Day' globally.
