Dr. Asif Nazrul, the Adviser on Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, commented that elections could take place by 2025.
He also mentioned that a search committee would be formed for the current Election Commission in the coming days.
Speaking on Channel I`s news program "Ajker Shongbadpotro" on Thursday night (October 17), Nazrul stated,
“The prices of vegetables have risen to such an extent that sales have declined. Due to the floods, the supply of eggs has decreased. Under the previous government, everything was controlled through syndicates. However, I can say that the situation will improve in the future. There have been improvements in many areas.”
Regarding the Digital Security Act, he stated, “We are in the process of completely cancelling the Digital Security Act. The mass doesn’t even want to hear these names.”
On the matter of Sheikh Hasina`s judgment, Dr. Nazrul referenced the prisoner exchange agreement, saying,
“If India obeys to this agreement, they should return Sheikh Hasina and If this agreement is followed correctly, they will be compelled to return Sheikh Hasina.”
