Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman exchanged Eid-ul-Fitr greetings dur ing a telephone conversation.
The discussion was described as warm and cordial, with Shehbaz Sharif extending his greetings to Rahman and the people of Bangladesh, according to the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.
During the call, the Pakistani premier highlighted the longstanding historical and fraternal ties between the two countries and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The two leaders also discussed regional developments in South Asia and the evolving situation in the Middle East, stressing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve ongoing tensions.
Prime Minister Rahman reciprocated the greetings and conveyed his best wishes to the people of Pakistan.
Both leaders expressed optimism about enhancing cooperation in the future and working together to promote regional and global peace and stability.
