An urgent situation unfolded as a flight from Kolkata to the US-Bangla Airlines destined for Chittagong had to make an emergency landing in Cox`s Bazar due to perilous weather conditions. All 45 passengers aboard are reported to be safe.
The flight touched down at Cox`s Bazar Airport on Monday at 5:00 PM local time, avoiding potential risks posed by the adverse weather conditions.
An airport official said that, "Due to adverse weather conditions, the flight from Kolkata to Chittagong by US-Bangla Airlines was compelled to make an emergency landing in Cox`s Bazar. There are 45 passengers on board, and they are all safe. Food has been provided to them within the aircraft."
Meanwhile, Cox`s Bazar has been experiencing a Kalbaishakhi storm accompanied by thunderstorms for several hours. The severe weather has left everyone on edge. However, there have been no reports of any damages or casualties thus far.
