Fardin was not murdered, he committed suicide: DB

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner of Police (DB) Harun-or-Rashid said BUET student Fardin Noor Parash was not murdered. He committed suicide.

The DB Chief said this while addressing reporters in the capital on Wednesday.

He said, "Following the incident, we analyzed Fardin's close relatives, friends and surroundings and found out that no one killed Parash. He basically committed suicide."

But it is not clear the reason behind his suicide, the DB added.

Earlier, Fardin, a third-year student in BUET's civil engineering department, went missing on 4 November. His body was recovered from the Shitalakkhya river on 7 November.
