Fire destroys fourteen houses in Nilphamari

Fourteen houses were gutted at Notkhana village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday afternoon, reports BSS.

Locals said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a house and spread to surroundings houses.

On information, fire fighters from Nilphamari Sadar rushed to the spot and put out the fire.

Sadar upazila parishad Chairman Shahid Mahmud said money, blankets and food assistance were distributed among the disheartened members of the families this evening.
