On Wednesday, four important commissions handed over their reform proposals to Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government.

The leaders of the commissions delivered their reports at Dr. Yunus’ office in Tejgaon.

A press conference is scheduled for 3 PM, where government representatives will share more details with the media about the proposals and what comes next.

The commissions that have submitted their reports include: the Election System Reform Commission, led by Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder; the Police Administration Reform Commission, headed by Sarfaraz Hossain; the Anti-Corruption Commission, under the leadership of Dr. Iftekharuzzaman from TIB; and the Constitution Reform Commission, chaired by Dr. Ali Riaz, a well-known professor at Illinois State University.

After receiving the reports, the interim government plans to start discussions with political parties, which may begin later this month.

Officials believe that if everyone agrees on the proposed changes and how to carry them out, the discussions could result in a clear plan for reform.
