The government has published the gazette notification of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination to appoint a total of 1,929 candidates to different cadres.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued the notification, asking the recruited officers to join their offices concerned on December 4, according to an English daily.
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has recommended 1,963 candidates for recruitment in different cadres against a total of 2,219 vacant posts, with some 34 recommended cadres dropped from the final gazette.
The PSC published results of the 40th BCS written exams on January 27 last year. Total 10,964 candidates passed the written exams.
