On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, a group of people who were injured during the July Movement staged a sit-in protest outside the office of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

The protesters marched towards the office and then sat down on the road, raising their voices to demand proper compensation and support for those injured during the movement.

The protesters included not only those who had been hurt during the July-August protests but also the family members of those who lost their lives.

They are calling for changes to the way the injured are categorized, demanding that any discrimination be corrected.

Additionally, they are seeking an expedited process for the rehabilitation of the martyrs‍‍` families.

Security personnel, including police officers and members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN), were stationed around the protestors to ensure the situation remained under control.

The protesters made it clear that they would continue their demonstration until they received clear guidance on their demands.

Previously, injured protesters had organized similar protests by blocking roads in areas such as Shyamoli, Shahbagh, and outside the Chief Advisor’s residence, to fight for recognition and support for their rehabilitation.

The ongoing protest reflects their determination to be heard and to see their demands met.
