The met office has forecast moderate rain at four divisions in the next 24 hours excluding Dhaka.
The axis of the monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northwest Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh & weak elsewhere over North Bay, the meteorology department forecast in its latest weather bulletin.
Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The mild heat wave sweeping over the districts of Jashore, Kushtia & Satkhira may continue.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
