In a recent speech, Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized that the country‍‍`s soldiers must always be ready to protect Bangladesh‍‍`s sovereignty.

He stressed that for this to happen, military personnel need to develop practical skills, courage, and professionalism through hands-on training.

Dr. Yunus shared these thoughts during his visit to the "Military Maneuver Exercise 2024/25" held by the 55th Infantry Division at the Rajbari Military Training Area on Sunday, January 5, around 1:30 PM.

Dr. Yunus remarked, “The Bangladesh Army is the pride and trust of the nation.”

He added that to meet this high expectation, soldiers must follow the principle that "training is the greatest welfare."

He further emphasized that with modern and relevant training, military personnel must always be prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty.

He expressed optimism, saying that the Bangladesh Army will continue to move forward with this focus on training.

Upon arriving at the exercise site, Dr. Yunus was warmly received by Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral M. Nazmul Hasan, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, and Major General J.M. Imdadul Islam of the Jessore Area.

Before the exercise, the Army Chief laid the foundation for an administrative building at the Rajbari Military Training Area, which will be used to accommodate soldiers.

Afterward, the Army Chief also distributed warm clothing to underprivileged people in the area.

High-ranking military and civilian officials attended the event to support this initiative.
